Covers basic safety, storage, action types, nomenclature, ammunition, caliber and firearm selection, cleaning/maintenance, basic fundamentals, and an hour of range time with either student or tritac provided firearms.

This class is intended to provide a fun safe learning environment and give a great foundation of knowledge for beginners but is also a great class for someone wanting a refresher.

We ensure students are confident and proficient with gun safety and mechanics before entering the range for live fire.

Students may provide their own firearms or use ours!

Handgun Fundamentals – LEVEL 1.5

– 2.5 Hour Class

– Expect to shoot approx 100 rounds

– Tritac guns must use Tritac supplied ammunition

Handgun Fundamentals is intended for those who can already comfortably come into the range and shoot on their own, understand and can apply safety rules, and are looking for guided training in order to become more proficient shooters.

We cover Pistol fundamentals addressing proper grip, stance, trigger control, use of sights, and presentation before moving into the range for about an hour of life fire practical application drills concerning precision accuracy and practical accuracy.

This class is designed as a prep course for our defensive pistol class and students should expect to leave feeling more confident with their gun handling and marksmanship abilities.

*This class expects students to be able to load/unload and handle their firearms in a confident/safe manner and therefore is not for brand new shooters

Oregon CHL – Concealed Handgun License

This provides certification for obtaining an Oregon CHL (Concealed Handgun Licence)

This class is entirely lecture based and covers relevant laws pertaining to carrying a concealed handgun locally and federally, use of force, basic safety, loading & unloading, methods of carry, and 23 State reciprocity.

We strongly encourage getting both Oregon CHL and Utah CFP as you get a discount and once a month we hold both classes simultaneously.

It is important to check all state and federal laws and ensure paperwork is completed properly. Taking the class is one of many steps to legally carry, ensure you follow all laws!

We also strongly encourages taking our “LEVEL 1 – Basic Handgun Class” and “Proactive Mindset For Concealed Carry” both of which are for all skill levels!
